CLARKS SUMMIT, LACKAWANNA COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — Authorities say a phone outage is impacting Verizon landlines in Clarks Summit, making it harder for some residents in the area to contact 911.

The Lackawanna County 911 Director told Newswatch 16 that they received incorrect information from Verizon regarding landline issues; however, this issue is not affecting the Clarks Summit area.
